Estudiar en el extranjero
A class project in four phases. Students explore sources, plan their research, build a short presentation and get ready for a conversation about it. Try the first phase as a student, right here, with no account.
Try it as a student
Phase 1, every step, exactly as a student sees it in a class. Your answers stay in this browser tab: nothing is sent or saved anywhere else.
See it as a teacher
The teacher's screens for phase 1, filled with a sample student. Everything here is fictional and read-only.
The sample teacher attached four sources to phase 1: an opinion article on Erasmus, a chart of international students by destination, and two videos. The sample answers below are about those sources.
Phases 2 to 4
Every step of the rest of the project. They open with a class account.
What a class account adds
The same project, with your students in it.
Assign it to a class
Copy the whole project and publish all four phases to your class in one step. Each phase gets its own due date and its own gradebook column.
Student work is saved
Everything a student types in every step is saved as they go, and you read it in order, step by step.
Grading and comments
Grade each step and leave a comment. The student sees the grade and your note on that step, and the gradebook adds it up.
Print packets for your own students
Print a student packet without grades, a teacher packet with them, and the reference page a student takes to the presentation.
Anticipated question drafts
In phase 4, students prepare for the conversation by writing the questions they expect. With one click you can draft more questions from a student's own outline. The questions are drafted; every answer is the student's to write.
